Add Z Business to your Z App and reach only for your phone, not your wallet

If you’ve got Z App via the App Store or Google Play, you can add your Z Business fuel card to your app. Then, at Z service stations, you’ll be able to process your fuel transactions with just your mobile phone making refuelling that little bit easier.

How to add your Z Business fuel card as your payment method in Z App
  • Enter your Z Business fuel card details into your Z App profile. 
  • Once you’ve entered your fuel card details, our Z App will automatically send an approval request to your Z Business account’s nominated administrator, who either approves or declines the use of your Z Business fuel card within the Z App. 
How the setup works
  • If approved, Z App can be used to pay for fuel and more based on your existing Z Business fuel card preferences. So, if your card is set up for all products, you’ll be able to pre-order coffee within Z App.
  • Your Z Business account’s pricing setup will determine the price you pay for fuel with your Z Business fuel card. Pumped discounts won’t apply to any Z Business transaction.
  • If your Z Business account holder doesn’t want their fuel cards loaded in Z App, the account can be opted out, no problems. Just contact our support team on zbusiness@z.co.nz or 0800 936 374.
Paying in app at Z service stations
Paying by plate at participating Z service stations
  • Once you’ve got Z App downloaded and your Z Business fuel card details, number plate and preferred fuel type added, you’re ready to pay by plate in Z App at participating Z service stations. Pay by plate is available at more than 60 sites across NZ. 
Exceptions – Truck stops, recording odometers and PINs
  • Paying with app is only available at Z service stations. It isn’t available at any of our unmanned Z truck stops.
  • Recording odometer readings when you fill-up isn’t available when paying in app. So, if this is a requirement for your Z Business fuel cardholders, you might want to disable app use on your Z Business account. This is easily sorted through our support team. Simply email zbusiness@z.co.nz or call 0800 936 374. 
  • If you use a Z Business fuel card for pay in app or pay by plate, no PIN will be required so Z Business fuel cards that require a PIN should not be used.
Receipts

While receipts are available in Z App, we encourage Z Business customers to use Z Business Online so you can view all of your business’ transactions plus gain insight through the selection of reports available. 

  • In Z App, a receipt will be automatically emailed to your Z Business account’s nominated administrator when Z App is used for either fuel or pre-order.
  • If you want to see previous transactions or even resend a receipt to another email address, select the ‘Menu’ and ‘Recent Activity’ in Z App to view each one.
